Idea Ontology
Based on a rigorous analysis of existing ontologies and published research in the area of innovation management, we have developed an ontology for exchanging textual descriptions of innovations and ideas. The aim of Idea Ontology is to provide a common semantic understanding of what an “idea” is and through a defined ontology provide the means to achieve data exchange and interoperability between different innovation related tools as well as repositories for storing such innovation related information.
On this site we plan to provide the following:
- A draft of the Idea Ontology as a modeled ontology in OWL format.
- Files containing sample instances of ideas using the Idea Ontology.
- Documentation material and publications.
